Regulations of the VI Marató del Mediterrani:
1. Degree Grau Hollenstein & Asociados, S.L. (Zona VIP), ChampionChip and the Town Councils of Castelldefels and Gavà organize on the 24 of October of 2009, the 6th MARATÓ DEL NEDITERRANI (Castelldefels-Gavà-Sitges), together with a Half Marathon and a 10 Km race.
2. The distances will be 42.195 km., 21,098 Km and 10 Km certified and signposted each kilometer.
3. Circuits: Tha start will be to 9:00h. for all races, from the Canal Olímpic of Castelldefels. Circuit from the urban kernels of Castelldefels, Gavà and Sitges (Les Botigues) with finish line for three races inside of canal Olímpic.The control of arrival for the Marathon will close up at 15:00h.
4. There will be liquid provisioning each 5 km. and sponges in the intermediate points. Fruit, dried fruit and nuts and energetic drinks in Km 15, 25, 35 and finish line.
The circuit will be duly each km signposted. and painting with a blue line.
5. In the finish line will come up the following services: provisioning, massage, medical assistance, locker rooms with showers, wardrobe and pasta party for the runners.
6. The categories will be the same ones for the races of Marathon and Half Marathon:
The runners of the 1 M/F category should be 18 fulfilled years old on the day of the career.
7. Trophies for marathon and half marathon: The 3 first of the male general classification and 3 first of the female general classification. The first of each category (art.6). Those that have prize or trophy in the general will not have in their category.
In the race of 10Km. they will obtain prize the 3 first in the male and female general classification.
Also there will be prizes for the three first and first of the category of veterans upper to 35 years, according to offset international table that appraises the age, the time and the sex. This table publishes the IAAF.
8. Each athlete will receive a technical running t-shirt, a specific gift for each race, a bag with several gifts and a diploma for internet through www.esportcatala.com
9. The trophies will give one time the organization know the results: The ones not picked up the day of the races, will be deposited in Grau Hollenstein & Asociados, S.L. (ZONA VIP) c/ Elisabets, 5 entr. 2 - 08001 Barcelona, and they will be able to be picked up until a month detached of the completion of the date of the races. Once this time spent they will not be able to be claimed.
10. The organization reserves the law of requesting the identification document, passport or similar to check the age of the participant.
11. The system of timing control will be ChampionChip. To be able to participate and to apply for qualify they have to be carried the number and the chip. The owners of the yellow chip should use it, others will receive a white chip for one use alone, previous payment of 3€. This chip will be picked up in the finish line recycled and the money will not be returned.
12. The runner’s fair will be in the BCN Events ACTA HOTELS of Castelldefels.
- Day 22 - 16:00h to 20:00h
- Day 23 - 10:00h to 20:00h
- Day 24 - d7:00h to 8:00h
The runners can be able to get the number, chip and gifts.
13. The organization can be able to disqualify any runner who do some irregularities during the race or not arrive to the finish line.
14. The claims will be made by writing to the Director of Race, and only will be accepted until 30 minutes after knowing the classification of the races.
15. The organization, according to the law, will contract a civil responsibility insurance, therefore, it is not made responsible for any physical/moral harm and/or material that they can cause/to cause the participants and viewers during this event, remaining under their responsibility, their health for the participation.
16. Only just to participating these regulations are accepted. What is not foreseen will be subjected to the decision of the organization.
